Hi! I am Marissa.

MBA, MA, Master Certified Parent Coach
Motherhood Coach & Pattern Healing Facilitator

Inspired and deeply moved by my own motherhood, I guide mothers to untangle from generational patterns and heal so they can become their most creative, confident, and authentic selves.

My Story

When I became a mother, my world was turned upside down. I got married and my partner and I consciously decided to have kids. We had no idea what the actual experience of parenting would be like. Magical and mystical beyond our wildest dreams, it was also much more challenging than we ever imagined. As I struggled with the decision of whether to return to work or stay at home with my first born, I tried all sorts of childcare options (family help, nanny, au pair, preschool co-op). Desperate to keep my career alive and moving, I kept trying to seek balance between time with my kid and working. I ended up going back to school to get my MBA and backing off from my job, in hopes to continue momentum in my career while having more time to be a mom. During my MBA, I merged my parenthood experience (struggling mom with a 3 year old autonomous toddler) with my business education and created an at-home story based tool kit for families to help build emotional intelligence. Upon testing the product, I realized that the tool was only as effective as the facilitator's commitment and skills in using it. So I started asking the questions of how I could better support families.

I became a Master Certified Parent Coach through Jai Institute for Parenting. Through this process, I dove deep into my own generational patterns, did a lot of grieving, and reinvented my whole family system, from how we communicated to each other to our values and to our connection. I also cofounded an elementary school, attempting to create a career that would enable me to be more in my "mom" role. Ultimately, the school had to close after 1 year of operation due to funding issues.

And with that closure, I have been finally for the first time in my parenting journey, melting into motherhood and letting the art of parenting be "enough". I call this current chapter of my life "Stillness in Bloom". I have been learning how to trust my deeper intuition, listen to my inner wisdom, cultivate stillness and presence, and take the risks to follow my heart.

Now I help other parents learn how to love themselves and their children. I support them as they learn about their nervous system and how to embody their highest intentions and values. I am inspired to help other parents attune to their own inner wisdom, confront their own generational patterns, and practice parenting mindfully and from a place of conscious choice.

I am moved by a vision where conscious communication and connection are utmost priority and where love leads the way. I believe parents have a huge responsibility and opportunity to help heal the world. And the work starts within us first. It begins with an honest confrontation of things that happened in our childhood and our lives that led us to where we are today. It involves humility, courage, empathy, compassion, challenge, and beauty. And the work leads to miracles, as we move towards deep, trusting, and secure lifelong relationships with ourselves and our kids.

Motherhood was my catalyst for healing and evolving as a human. It is the practice of parenting that teaches me and my partner about myself, about humans, and about life. Parenting can be the most profound and purposeful journey if you lean in, allow the feelings, look in the mirror, and invite change.
